It is time to update this page as the year has already changed and the biker season 2012 is coming up. In this post I will get a bit personal and also emotional and I want you to read my story about how I came into motorcycle ministry. This year will be my fifth year as an Ambassador For Jesus Christ and I know that this year will be totally different than other years. I feel that it really is time for the Gospel to be preached where it can be preached and our vision for The European Ambassadors For Jesus Christ is to not speak agains anything, not condemn or judge, not scare people with heaven and hell but walk in the love that we first received from God.

So many things are taking place in the world right now and just the fact that YOU listen to someone that need to speak is worth gold. We have to use the wisdom GOD gave us to win souls for JESUS and there is nothing we can do in our own strength. We can not force people to get saved, neither can we manipulate people to get healed. It is all something we do with wisdom in faith by the power of the Holy Spirit and if there is no love we wont succeed.

January 7th we had our annual general meeting and Ambassadors from both Finland and Sweden gathered here in Vasa. We elected a new board and did some decisions for this coming year. The new boar members are: Pontus J. Back, Veli-Matti Koivisto, Jacques Mahne, Pasi Marttinen, Anja Haka and Pastor Joe Guebara (USA). We also decided that Berth and Anja Haka will be the contact people for our members and other people in Sweden. 

The events we are going to attend are in the calendar and do not hesitate to ask us about anything. IF you see one of us on the road, just wave at us and we'll be there for you!

How I became a biker

It was soon after I had my encounter with Jesus, who healed me and set me free I was called into motorcycle ministry by God! I did not understand this myself as I had never ridden a biker, I did not have a driving license for motorcycles and I was not even interested in motorcycles!

When all this took place I was covered in something that I would call "a religious costume". Since I had given my life to the Lord I wanted to live up to the "Christian standard" and I covered my tattooed arms with long sleeve nice shirts, I cut my hair and my beard, I had a big cross hanging around my neck. I used hair gel to make my hair due look nice and I wore reading glasses so I could live up to what I thought was the "Christian standard".

Meanwhile our oldest child, our son was walking his own direction and I have to admit that I was worried about him making the same choice that I mad at his age when I dedicated my life to alcohol and later drugs. At church they were very concerned about my speech about becoming a biker for Christ and they spoke against my back and told people to tell me to not listen to what I felt was God!

I was investigating the Christian Biker World and also the finnish clubs. Some of them had protocol with prospects and supports for a couple of years before you could become a patch holder and one club was too easy to get into. At the same time I read about Christian motorcycle clubs and ministries on line and I found one page with all the different colors and patches. There was one patch that stood out and ministered to me. It was a yellow patch with a cross and the text "AMBASSADORS FOR JESUS CHRIST MOTORCYCLE MINISTRY". This was the first organization over seas I contacted and immediately we connected. We were in the same Spirit with the same vision about reaching the lost.

It did not take that long before we decided that I was going to start up a branch for the ministry over here in Europe and so happened. I told the brothers and sisters over in Texas that I did not have a bike, neither did I have a drivers license. I told them about my bad credit and that it was impossible for me to get all this worked out. Their answer to me was clear and they asked me: - Where is your faith brother?

I realized that I had received faith as a GIFT but that I had to start using my faith and I had to BELIEVE. Two different things, to have faith and to believe. I prayed and believed and soon GOD took care of these things. The very same day I received my drivers license I took out my Harley Davidson 2004 Night Train on the roads and I wore my leather vest with the Ambassadors For Jesus Christ M/M colors. It felt good and it was something I never had experienced before! It was still cold out but I felt freedom and peace while I was out riding.

This very first season became a big change in my life. Both in my old life and in my new life. Not just the fact that I ripped of the "religious costume" and became myself and let my hair and beard grow out again. When the motorcycle came to our family me and my son found something in common and the same year in may we did our first longer ride together on the motorcycle to Stockholm, Sweden. That was an adventure and it was the first time I ever took my son with me on the road or did something together with my son. I remember me sitting and watching him at night while he was sleeping in his hotel bed where we stayed during this trip and I was crying and thanking GOD for my son. I loved him and I love him so much!

Since then me and my son have driven thousands of kilometers together on that same Harley Davidson and we are not just father and son. We became best friends! We have done so many trips together, not only on the motorcycle but we are a good team. Even if he is in the age of 17 years old now and is not necessary so interested in hanging at the church and he wants to hang out with his friends we do travel together and the most important of all; we have fun together with JESUS! We are Ambassadors For Jesus Christ!

I am so thankful today when I think back. What if I had done what the people told me to do? Then I would not have all the wonderful brothers and sisters within the biker community all over the world. I don't know how my relationship with my son would be? I don't know if I still would look like a clown in my short hair and reading glasses? I don't know if I still would be here? I don't know...

Due to this I have also made trips with my youngest daughter and I am looking forward to get out on the roads with the twin daughters as well. I never thought I would be a biker but God had a plan for me. A way bigger plan than I could imagine. Tonight I was watching my son fix up his bike, waiting for the summer to come. It felt in my heart to see him take care of his first bike and fix it up as this coming summer we will not ride on the same bike, we will ride next to each other not only as father and son but as best friends and Ambassadors For Jesus Christ and the plan is to involve the whole family in this ministry in the future. It all is about listening to God and following His plan for our lives.

I could never ever have imagined that I am where I am today and I am not ashamed to be a Christian! I am not ashamed to be a tattooed and hairy biker! I love JESUS and I love my FAMILY! I love my brothers and I love my sisters! I am so thankful!

Today we are 25 Ambassadors For Jesus Christ in Finland and Sweden and I am proud of all of these guys!

Looking forward to a blessed 2012

This year is soon over and it is time to look forward to what's coming up around the corner. We have a new year coming, 2012 and our prayer is that our ministry shall walk in the same direction as this last year, 2011. 2011 was a breakthrough for us and many good things happened. God sent us some new members as well as some of the brothers from our headquarters in Houston, Texas visited us last summer. Many things have also taken place behind the scenes and on the behalf of our team I can say that we are thankful.



The European Ambassadors are having their annual general meeting, January 7th 2012 at 15:00 (3PM). All members are welcome. For the first time ever we are going to have the meeting at our new facilities at the Recycle Motor and Music Garage at Myllärinkatu 12 in Vasa. The following day we are opening up a new era of our ministry and we are having Biker Church at the same place. From January 8th we are going to have Biker Church Service at Recycle Motor and Music Garage ones a month, always the first sunday of the month at 18:00 (6PM). Everyone is welcome. This is to take the church out to those who don't want to go to church, so come and listen to the word of God, worship God and fellowship with us.



Later in January The Ambassadors For Jesus Christ m/m will be presented together with Church on Wheels at the Biker Exhibition in Gothenburg, Sweden. The dates are January 26-29. In March we are doing an outreach together with Calvary Christian Riders m/m and Broken Chains Biker Church at The Daytona Bike Week 2012. Lots of things are coming up and we are also proud to announce that our Rally at Orisberg, Finland will be held June 15-17. We are again having guests from USA next summer so mark this date in your calendars. More details and events in the calendar.

We have now been four days down in Galveston, Texas at the 10th Anniversary Lonestar Rally. We had our own boot set up next to The Strand witch is the main road where all the biker ride down the strip. When you walk at The Strand it is so crowded that it takes you a long time to walk just a couple of blocks. Hundreds of thousands of Bikers came in this year and some people said that there were even more people than last year. Last year we heard that 480.000 Bikers attended the Rally.

As Ambassadors For Jesus Christ (2 Cor 5:20) we are at places like this for one reason, to tell people about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This year we had printed up over 1000 free JESUS LOVES YOU cd:s that we gave away among with Zig Zag rolling paper packs. The Zig Zags became very popular. Some people came in and asked for more as they stated they smoke lots of pot. It might cause some kind of reaction when they open up the package realizing there are no papers. Instead of the rolling papers there is a message and the directions how to get saved. I think this was a good idea brother Samuel Eby came up with. It also says: - Get high on the most high. 

During these days this year we have had live music in our boot, we have got to pray for people and thousands of people have heard the word of God and received a cd, a tract or something that looks like rolling papers. As the Director from overseas I would like to thank all the American Ambassadors for taking so good care of me and I mean they are taking really good care of me. We are soon going to attend the Lonestar Rally in Galveston, Texas. This will be the fourth year in a row we are attending from the European branch. This year we will not sell anything at our boot but we will have live music and give away a new cd tract including four new songs from the Thankful album being released about the same time.

We believe that the bikers like the rock and roll music and this cd is specially designed to reach bikers, rock and rollers and of course other people. We are there to reach the lost. This cd is also including Pastor Hollywood Joe's Biker Prayer and a short testimony about my personal meeting with Jesus as well as the prayer of Salvation.

Last year around 480.000 bikers attended the rally and being there as Ambassadors For Jesus Christ is a good way to throw out the nets outside the boat!

Last week I returned from Spain after a wonderful week together with brothers and sisters from Gospel Riders Finland and Espana, CMA and Cover Backs MC. New connections were established and it was such a priviledge to be there as an Ambassador For Jesus Christ. During my performance The Holy Spirit told me to walk down the line with a statement that made me think about how God really blessed our founder and leader Pastor Joe with this ministry. Since we all felt that there is and there need to be unity within the Christian Biker community, no matter what it says on our backs The Holy Spirit led me to a very funny statement: "It does not matter what it says on your vest, we all are Ambassadors For Jesus Christ!". This made me really proud of our colors and I got a revelation that our ministry is just starting to get somewhere.

This last summer has been off the hook and as a Director I am proud of all our new members. ALL members who have a chance should try to make it to our opening meeting for 2012. The meeting will be held at Kvevlax Missionskyrka outside Vasa, Finland January 7th 2012. There we go over everything we need to do and we also decide on all things for the summer. Soon I am off to hook up with The Ambassadors in USA and together we are going to serve the Lord at The Lonestar Rally in Galveston, Texas. Lots of other stuff is coming up and we are blessed and highly favored. We serve an awesome God and I can not even imagine what HE has in store for us for next summer.

This summer has been something very special for The Ambassadors For Jesus Christ Motorcycle Ministry. We started with having our founder and leader Pastor "Hollywood" Joe Guebara  here together with Ambassadors Samuel Eby, Cele Monreal and Victor Flores. For two weeks we travelled around Finland with the Gospel and looking at these two weeks now gives me following statement: "Do what the apostles did and you get what the apostles get!"

We had our first own rally at Orisberg and our fourth meeting at Frank Mangs Center in Närpes. These will happen next year again. We met many people on the roads and not only for me personally but also for our worldwide ministry this year has been a breakthrough. I remember when I first started the ministry here in Finland on my own early 2008. Soon I had some members, most of them gone today. Today we are over 20 members in Finland and Sweden and all these are people that GOD has sent to our ministry. As a director and leader I am very proud of my sheep and I thank GOD for each and everyone of them. We might look crazy in peoples eyes but we are crazy! Crazy for JESUS!

Now when the season starts to fade away and the bikes are entering our garages we are going to be more on fire for Jesus than ever. In the summer we are on the roads and attending rallies, meeting people and telling them about our Lord and Savior. Again we shall proclaim what we have seen this summer: "Do what the apostles did and you get what the apostles get!"

In september I am traveling to Fuengirola, Spain to attend a rally together with Gospel Riders and some Spanish biker clubs. I am looking forward to this trip and most of all to meet the non-christian clubs and provide them with a message that is the most powerful message of them all: the Gospel. I am very happy about our good relationship with Gospel Riders. I am also very happy about our longtime relationship with Church on Wheels Europe and Pastor Ulf Mannebäck. When I entered this circuit I was standing between two fires not knowing where to go and who I should trust. I asked the Holy Spirit about the right direction and He pointed out Pastor Mannebäck and Church on Wheels and since that day we have had a very fruitful relationship both in Finland and Sweden and this is just the beginning. In january we will be together at the big motorcycle exhibition in Gothenburg, Sweden.

In november it is again time for the Lonestar Rally in Galveston, Texas. This will be the fourth year for my personally and I hope that all of the European members would have a chance to go one day as well. IF you are interested joining me on this trip just call or mail me for more details. During the same trip me and brother Samuel Eby will do a longer road tour of Texas starting in Houston november 11th. We will stop by in San Antonio, Texas for a youth meeting and we are going to turn around in El Paso, Texas with a short visit in Juarez, Mexico. On the way we are going to walk in the apostles footsteps and do what the apostles did. It might sound crazy but this is what GOD has put on my mind. To be out there and take the Gospel to the highways and byways. 

We are planning two meetings for our members soon. One in Sweden that most likely will be october 30th in Stockholm. I hope that as many members as possible can come to Vasa january 7th 2012 when I have my annual party at my church. We will have a very important Ambassador meeting in Vasa the same day. More information about this later.

Church on Wheels Meet at Bjärka-Säby

This coming weekend, July 1st-3rd our brothers and sisters from Church on Wheels Europe are having their rally at Bjärka-Säby outside Linköping in Sweden. For the third year in a row The Ambassadors For Jesus Christ Motorcycle Ministry will be involved. This event is not another Christian "Halleluja Conference", it is a family Biker Rally with focus on Jesus. The event is drug- and alcohol free and all kinds of bikes are welcome. Of course you are welcome there as well without a bike. There will be activities during the day and at night there will be meetings and live music. Sky Blues Band from USA  are headlining the rally this year and as God is involved it will be a wonderful rally with felloship, good food, good music and the word of God. Ulf and Pontus on the road for Jesus

From Bjärka-Säby Church on Wheels Pastor Ulf Mannebäck and Ambassadors For Jesus Christ, European Director Pontus J. Back are getting out on the road together. Tuesday July 5th they are having a private wedding in the middle part of Sweden and on Wednesday July 6th you can meet them in Ånge at a Biker Church with fellowship, good music and of course some BBQ.




MOJ Meeting in Larsmo

Pastor Ulf and Ambassador Pontus are heading over to Finland for the second weekend of July and between July 8th & 10th they are going to be at the MOJ Meet in Larsmo hosted by their brothers and sisters in Gospel Riders. More about the meeting by visiting Gospel Riders. From Larsmo they are doing a quick visit at the Jumalan Jytky event at the market place in Nivala monday July 11th at 6PM.




Kaskö Biker Church and Ambassador members meeting

July 13th it is time for another Ambassadors For Jesus Christ event and for the first time ever we are hosting a Biker Church at Café John 3:16 in Kaskö. This in co-operation with the church of Kaskö. Special guests are invited as well as both Pastor Ulf and Ambassador Pontus are going to serve together with Biker Priest Tom Ingvesgård. You should definitely come there if you have a chance. We also want to invite as many Ambassadors as possible to come as we will have our Ambassadors meeting the same night together with some good fellowship at Frank Mangs Center in Närpes. 70° North One Christ in Posio

July 15th to the 17th Preacher MC are together with Gospel Riders having their annual 70° North One Christ. We attended for the first time last year and it is a beautiful place and a great and wonderful Spirit. If you are riding in the northern part of the country this weekend you should definitely visit this event. Some Ambassadors might be there as well. Ambassadors For Jesus Christ

These are the events that we officially have in our calendar for this summer here in Europe. Lots of other things have already taken place like the Super Rally where we had members attending as well as the coming EMC Rally in Norway in august. As we are not another club but a ministry all our members are servants. If you see an Ambassador on the road do not hesitate to at least say hello. If you need some one to talk to or some one to pray for you or you are in need you can always ask one of us Ambassadors when you see us. When we are on the road we are on the road for Jesus and we are there to serve Him and help one another in a best possible way.



We are also doing some changes in the leadership and board of directors within the next couple of days. We have decided about a new board of directors and Pontus J. Back continues as director for the European branch. Veli-Matti Koivisto is the second director for Europe and other board members are Pastor Joe Guebara (Houston, Texas) and Tom Ingvesgård (Biker Priest). May 28th our founder, leader and Pastor, Hollywood Joe Guebara arrived at Helsinki-Vantaa together with brothers Cele Monreal, Victor Flores and Samuel Eby. Since the moment they arrived we have been busy on the road for Jesus. We have not only have meetings here, there and everywhere, we have also spent time with each other and we have had the privilege to get to know each other better. This is such a blessing for The Ambassadors For Jesus Christ Motorcycle Ministry Europe.


To spend time together for two weeks is not easy but it will give very much for the brotherhood. Brotherhood is something that GOD have given me to think about during these years and I am thankful for having these brothers over here to show us what true brotherhood is. To me it is frustrating and depressive to realize that it is hard to find true brotherhood in the church today and many of our churches should definitely take a look how for example the outlaw Biker clubs are loving and standing behind each other. There are no gossip but true love and respect.


I have a strong feeling about that what we as Christians should do is to love one another more and more and learn to look at our good sides. IF we continue to look at our less good sides and continue to point fingers at each other we will not receive the blessings God wants to give us. The word of God says that people shall get saved by watching how much we Christians love each other and this is something that I know that we all should start to practice more and more. As the Apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 13 love is the biggest of everything and what we do without love is not worth anything.


True brotherhood is not only getting together and saying nice words to each other. It is also about being ready to give up your own life for your brother or your sister or even just another person. This is hard to find in the church today but you find it among the outlaws. What do we learn from this? We learn that it is time to look at Jesus and see what HE commanded us to do: love others (your neighbor) as we love ourselves (Mark 12:31).


We really have learned something from our American brothers in many ways and we are thankful for their visit and effort. They took off two weeks from work to come over here to spend time with us and serve us and other people. We had an awesome time! Iron sharpens iron.


The summer is already rockin' and there are many events we are going to attend this summer. This is most likely the busiest summer so far in our four year old history. We are also proud to announce that we have more members and that more members are coming in this summer. Therefore we are able to be at different places at the same time and first of all represent Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior but also our ministry. I have a feeling that we are going to take this ministry up to another level this summer, thanks to our American brothers for their visit, their love and their encouragement.

The next couple of days we will be visiting Stockholm, Sweden and hook up with our members there as well as some other brothers and sisters. We return to Finland saturday june 11th and will spend the last two days together where we started this tour, in Porvoo. Our loved brothers are returning to Houston, Texas june 13th.
 

I would like to thank all people who have been coming to the meetings and those who have been helping us to set up the meetings and of course our Pastor and Leader, Hollywood Joe Guebara and brothers Cele Monreal, Victor Flores and Samuel Eby from our central chapter over in Houston, Texas USA. You all have been such a blessing to all of us.

Praise the Lord,

The summer is here and we are excited and proud being Ambassadors For Jesus Christ. God have opened many new doors for our ministry for this bike season and we are actually going to be busy this summer. Next week we start the summer season together with our brothers from Houston, Texas.

It is an honor for us to have our brothers from USA here and I am sure we will have a good time.



Our first meeting the same day our brothers arrives is at the pentecostal church in Porvoo. The event starts at 6PM and is open for everyone. Come as you are!



The second day we are going to mess with the US-brothers jet-lag and have them get up early in the morning as we have a long way to drive. This sunday we have two meetings and the first one is in Haapavesi, 500 kilometers from Porvoo in the afternoon, thats why we are getting up so early.



After the event in Haapavesi we are heading towards the west coast of Finland and we have the honor and grace to be guests at Kalajoen Vapaaseurakunta, a wonderful church with wonderful people. This meeting starts at 7PM and we want as many as possible to come there as this night will be something special. True life stories, testimonies, good music and of course the word of God!

We might let our US brothers have a couple of days off and rest before we continue. Wednesday june 1st Pastor Joe will be preaching in Kvevlax Missionskyrka outside Vasa. Everyone in the area should come and be encouraged by his special and unique way to preach the good news.



Friday 3rd we start off at Orisberg in Isokyrö. Orisberg is located on the plains of Southern Ostrobothnia  at Isokyrö between Vaasa and Seinäjoki.  A Christian Recreation and Retreat Centre on the grounds of the Estate Orisberg offers good services  for visitors in the summer time. There are cabins for rent, well equipped camping area for tents and caravans, cooking facilities, sauna by a small lake. A café in an old vicarage serves delicious meals.

 

Beautiful nature, long history and cultural milieu with a neo-classical chapel designed by famous architect Engel give Orisberg a sense of timelessness and peace. For generations the place has been a source of inspiration for artists, for example  the composer Jean Sibelius spent time here.  Orisberg is one of the recreation centers run by Logos Ministries in Finland, an organization within the Lutheran Church of Finland.


For the first time ever we, The Ambassadors For Jesus Christ m/m are hosting this three day weekend filled with fellowship, Bible studies, Praise & Worship and meetings. We have invited all other Christian Biker Clubs and Ministries in Finland to come and we are also looking forward to our brothers from Believer MC in Umeå, Sweden visiting. There will also be a record release party on saturday night at 7PM. We are excited about this and you can read more about this and the schedule here.





From Orisberg we are riding together to Frank Mangs Center in Närpes. Sunday, June 5th we are having a Bikers Night there. Frank Mangs Center is the heritage of evangelist Frank Mangs and a Christian meeting place and foundation.



A very interesting thing is the new relationship with Deep South MC in Hangö. We just visited them and their Vild Wiking Motel and it is a privilege and honor to be able to have a Christian service at this place. From Hangö we are driving to Helsinki to visit some other clubs.


We really want YOU to come to one of these meetings as we as Ambassadors For Jesus Christ want to encourage you and set you on fire. Our vision is to be a light in a dark world and encourage each one to go out and be used by GOD who has a purpose for everyone.
